We are so sure of the CarShop Certified cars we offer, that we cover your engine for as long as you own your vehicle. Just abide by the following common-sense requirements — like changing your oil and performing timely maintenance — and you’re good to go. Like forever.
Program Guidelines
For the first 300,000 miles or ten years, whichever comes first, you receive the benefits of Pennzoil’s engine warranty. Our warranty begins after the limits noted above through the lifetime of the vehicle.
Change your vehicle’s oil and oil filter at least as often as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
CarShop recommends you change your oil, in any event, every 4 months or 4,000 miles whichever comes first.
Upload at least 1 oil change record to Shell/Pennzoil annually (during the Pennzoil Engine Warranty period). You can enroll and upload your oil change records on the Pennzoil website.

We recommend that you bring your vehicle to CarShop once a year (for FREE, of course).
Our elite service team will check belts, hoses, and fluid levels.
CarShop may repair or replace parts.
We may repair or replace parts under warranty with new, re-manufactured or used parts.
Follow the manufacturer maintenance schedule.
Oil, oil filters, and air cleaner elements must be replaced and the emission control system maintained according to the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations.
Select Cars do not qualify.
Unfortunately, CarShop Select Cars do not qualify for Lifetime Engine coverage.
The warranty is not transferable.
Vehicles must be registered in the original purchase name at time of claim.
We are not responsible for damages.
CarShop is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages.
Damage caused by neglect is not covered.
DISCLAIMER: Our guarantee covers internally lubricated engine parts only: piston and rings, cam shafter and bearings, valve lifters, oil pump, push rods, crankshaft and bearings, wrist pins and bushings, distributor drive gear, rocker arms and pivots, cylinder liners or bores, Intake valves and guides, rods and rod bearings, timing gears or sprockets and timing chain. (Timing belts and damage to engine due to broken timing belts excluded.)
